    Policy Purpose

    The purpose of this policy is to articulate the Resident Meal Plan requirements for members of the Corps of Cadets at the University of North Georgia (the “University”).

    Definitions

    1. All Access Meal Plan – allows unlimited visits to the all-you-care to eat dining facility (Dining Hall) on the Dahlonega campus any day of the week. The plan also includes Dining Dollars.

    2. Social Lite Meal Plan – allows 15 meals per week at the all-you-care to eat dining facility (Dining Hall) on the Dahlonega campus. The plan also includes Dining Dollars.

    3. Resident Cadet – Cadet living on the University campus.

    Policy Statement

    1. Cadets who reside off-campus are not required to purchase a meal plan.

    2. Due to the rigors of military training, all Resident Cadets shall be assessed the All Access Meal Plan.

    3. In limited circumstances, a Resident Cadet may reduce their meal plan to the Social Lite Meal Plan.

    4. A meal plan accommodation for documented medical conditions may be sought via Student Disability Services.

    Support Information

    1. All Resident Cadets will be billed for an All Access Meal Plan by the Office of the Assistant Commandant.  Charges will be reflected on the Cadet’s BANNER account.

    2. Based on the rigorous physical demands of the Corps of Cadets and Military Science curriculum, the University does not recommend reducing meal plans to less than 15 meals per week.

    3. To ensure healthy and convenient eating habits, Resident Cadets are encouraged and expected to consume at least 3 meals per day in the campus Dining Hall.  The facility offers many nutritional options to meet the dietary needs of each Cadet.
