Merit Raise Eligibility

    The purpose of this policy is to clearly state the conditions under which a merit raise may be awarded.

    1. Requests for individual merit increases must be approved by the Senior Vice President for Business and Finance and the departmental Budget Manager.

    2. A performance evaluation that supports the merit increase must be on file in Human Resources before a merit increase is awarded.

    1. Merit pay funds include monies allocated by the Board of Regents to provide salary increases to employees. Merit pay funds are allocated in the budget each year, if available, and awarded to eligible employees the following July of each year.

    2. This policy supersedes NGCSU policy 817.0, which was in effect from 7/1/2007 through consolidation.
