    Purpose

    The purpose of this policy is to clearly state the various activities for which Auxiliary Services of the University of North Georgia (the University) is responsible and the relationship of Auxiliary Services to other departments.

    Statement

    1. Auxiliary Services seeks to provide excellent customer service, convenience, competitive pricing, and innovative services in order to generate revenue for services operations and to provide funding for University facility needs.

    2. Auxiliary Services works with pride and excellence to support the University’s mission by providing students, faculty, and staff at each campus location with services that are supportive of their academic objectives and endeavors.  These services include:

      1. The University Stores
      1. Card Services
      2. Dining Services
      3. Parking Services
      4. Print Services
      5. Transportation
      6. Vending
      7. Convocation Center Event Management
    3. Auxiliary Services also partners with University of North Georgia Residence Life and the University System of Georgia to fund Residence Halls, and provides limited Faculty and Staff Housing.

    Support Info

    1. Auxiliary Service units do not receive appropriations from the State of Georgia and are designed to be self-supporting.  All service units operate with the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia financial requirements, policies and procedures, and to all applicable State and Federal laws.

    2. Auxiliary Services is a division of the Office of Business and Finance and reports to the Senior Vice President of Business and Finance.  The central operations office is located at 82 College Drive, Price Memorial Hall, Room 110, in Dahlonega, Georgia.
