    Purpose

    The purpose of this policy is to identify the assessment and proration of mandatory fees at the University of North Georgia (the “University”).

    Definitions

    1. “Fully at a Distance” Courses:  include North Georgia Online, eCore, non-exchange based study abroad program courses, and courses taught at off-campus sites.

    Statement

    1. Assessment of Mandatory Fees

      All students will be subject to mandatory fees. Mandatory fees will be assessed based on total enrolled hours, in-classroom and “Fully at a Distance” courses.
    2. Determination of Mandatory Fees

      Campus specific assessment of mandatory fees will be based on the physical campus in which a majority of a student’s in-classroom credit hours are held, except in the case in which there is an equal number of in-classroom credit hours on two campuses. If a student has an equal number of in-classroom credit hours on two campuses, the student’s listed “Home Campus” will be used for fee assessment purposes. Students in which are registered for all “Fully at a Distance” Courses will not be assessed campus specific mandatory fees.

    3. Proration of Mandatory Fees

      Students will be eligible for a proration of certain fees based on the number of total hours in which they are enrolled. Students will have their mandatory fees prorated based on the following chart:
